Every few months we like to feature a few real events to let you know the kind of gigs we're booking for our members. Real events are a real big deal in the blogosphere (just check out our Wedding and Life of the Party blogs for proof). These posts provide inspiration plus some vicarious fun for party planners and ordinary folks following along at home.
Remember - we don't know about these real events until entertainers and vendors like you drop us a line. Send us your real event stories, photos and more to marketing AT gigmasters DOT com.
And now to the events!
GigMasters Country Band Junction Creek (Shepherdsville, KY) got booked to play at this year's annual Avalon Effects' conference in Nashville, TN aka 'Music City.' The band helped guests celebrate the long- history of country music, led some line dancing and even supplied the soundtrack to mechanical bull rides. Yeehaw!
Sure, gigging outside can bring some challenges but it doesn't get much better than playing in the great outdoors on a beautiful New England afternoon. GigMasters’ Variety Band Wavelength (Scarborough, ME) got picked to play at a picturesque vineyard in Lincolnville, Maine. Didn't know they had vineyards up there, did you? Check out that amazing scenery - beats a dingy club any day.
Everyone loves a good engagement story but how about a magical one? In one of the more unique gigs we've heard about in awhile, GigMasters Magician Chris Anthony (New York, NY) was booked to assist in a surprise engagement proposal. He smoothly segued from doing some street magic to letting the groom-to-be take over and pop the big question (spoiler alert: she says 'yes'). Check out the video below to watch the magic happen!
Have you been booked to play any unique events recently? We're always looking to feature real events on our blogs. Drop us a line at marketing AT gigmasters DOT com to tell us about your unique gigs. If at all possible it's best to get your clients in on the fun ahead of time so you can collect as many photos, videos and gig memories as possible.
