Tyler and his wife Kate first heard The Hereafters at a local bar in Portland, OR. When they got engaged and started planning, they knew that The Hereafters were exactly who they wanted for their special day! "My wife and I first heard the Hereafters at a local bar in Portland a year ago and truly enjoyed their energy and obvious love for music. When we got engaged in December and the question of wedding music came up we both looked at each other and said, "The Hereafters?" We could not have made a better choice."
"Kate (my wife) and I are both professional musicians and instead of a surprise choreographed dance we wanted to play a verse of "Lucky" by Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat, on cello. Kate also wanted to dance to "Rainbow Connection" from the Muppets for her father/daughter dance. The Hereafters learned both songs and even let us join them for a practice session a month prior to the wedding to lock in details and practice."
"Our ceremony and reception were at the same venue but 200 yards apart. The Hereafters provide the PA system for the ceremony including lapel and handheld mics. With two officiants at the wedding I was nervous about feedback, but the band arrived hours before the ceremony (before some wedding party members) and had all the mics tested and prepped well before hand. They were extremely attentive to sound levels and we had zero feedback throughout the night!
"Every one of the musicians in this group is phenomenal. All of the guests enjoyed our wedding and the majority of the feedback we've received in the month since has been about the music. We highly recommend this band for any event!"
