3 End of Summer Party Ideas

Posted by Chloe McAuliffe on 08/13/19

It’s sad to think that our favorite time of the year is coming to an end, but it can’t be officially over without one more summer party! Whether you’re throwing a neighborhood end of summer party or just getting together with your closest friends, there is a party idea for everyone!

I’ll Sea You Later Summer - Beach Party

There is nothing like relaxing on the beach for the last time, or at least pretending you are. Throw your last summer party like it’s your first - with a beach theme! Whether you are near a beach that you can use or in the comfort of your own home, turn it into an amazing tropical paradise.

When decorating for your tropical paradise bash think 'beach ball' for a color scheme. Use white as a base color and add pops of colors such as pink, orange, blue, red, green etc. Good food is a must at a party and what’s more tropical than a smoothie/acai bowl bar? A light and refreshing smoothie always hits the spot and will certainly keep your guests happy all party long!

Of course you’re going to need some entertainment, so add some fun beach games like limbo, volleyball, etc! And maybe for a final touch your guests will never forget - hire some hula dancers

Orange You Sad Summer is Over - Last Summer Brunch

What’s the end of summer without one more brunch with your closest friends? While you could end summer with a wild party why not end it with a classical and trendy get together!

When preparing for your end of summer brunch think whimsical garden and vintage/rustic vibe. Brunch is all about trendiness and good food so we want to make sure you highlight both. Decor is crucial to a good brunch - so think mason jars, wood inspired dishes, and white plates. Then, start by preparing your favorite summertime foods like fruit salad, fresh bagels, avocado toast, etc. You can’t forget about the star of the show, the mimosa! To add to the ambiance, why not bring in an acoustic guitarist?

S’more Summer Please - Backyard BBQ

There is nothing more classic than a summer backyard BBQ. Whether it’s just your family, your closest friends, or your whole neighborhood, kick off the school year and end the summer with a bang - and s'mores!

For your summer barbecue think about what kind of entertainment to have whether that’s a live band or a DJ and some fun summer games such as corn hole! Although a barbecue is pretty basic, it’s up to you to make it special by reminiscing on this summer's moments. Capture new moments with an open air photo booth. Classic barbecue food is obvious but remember to end your night with s’mores to get that last taste of summer. Set up a s'mores bar, with extra toppings for a creative spin on a original summer favorite.
