Amanda, from Sanibel, FL, was looking for an Acoustic Guitarist for a very special annual event (The Flock of the Feather - keep reading to hear more about it!). She found James Prather through GigMasters and shared her event story with us!

Amanda shared:

"The Flock of the Feather is an annual gathering of the Sprankle Feather Club. Every year, Jim Sprankle carves a wooden feather and bird head to be auctioned off at our annual fundraiser to raise money for the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. Those who win the feather and head become a part of the Feather Club, and the head is the "head" of the Club for the next year, and hosts the next year's gathering.

This year's gathering was on the first day of Spring, so our theme was "Sounds of Spring." We created a trivia game where participants had to fill in the blanks in lyrics from bird-related songs, like Blackbird and Rockin' Robin. When we went over the trivia answers, our musician for the night, James Prather, sang clips from the songs to reveal the answers! Throughout the night, James played songs from the 70s and some newer hits, and created a wonderful atmosphere for the party."

"We also wrote a song honoring Jim Sprankle to the tune of Let It Be, and James learned it in just a few days and sang it at the event! The whole room started to sing along and Jim Sprankle was so happy and surprised.
The night was a success, and booking through GigMasters was so easy and helped us find the perfect musician for our event!"

As for her booking with James, she shared:

"He was extremely professional, communicating well before the event and he arrived on time and ready to go exactly when we needed him to. We would definitely book James again and we recommend him for anyone else's event!"
