For the past 3 years, Nick has been hosting Oktoberfest events on Staten Island. This year, he decided to kick it up a notch with some music for one of the events. Through GigMasters he found Ellen (The Swedish Meatball), and shared his event story with us!
"For the last few years, I have been hosting several Oktoberfest events at different locations around Staten Island, NY. This year I wanted to bump it up to the next level so I went online to hire an accordion player for some live Oktoberfest music for the event at the Staten Island Beer Company. I quickly found GigMasters who got me 3 different quotes within a few hours. After talking to two on the phone I decided to hire The Swedish Meatball for my event."
"Over the Phone, The Swedish Meatball also offered to lead the guests in some Oktoberfest games and sing-a-longs which was much more then I expected but was very excited about. The day of the Oktoberfest party, I arrived at the brewery an hour early with my Bratwurst and set up the grill. The Swedish Meatball was already there set up. She brought some additional Oktoberfest decorations, amps, supplies for the games, and printed music sheets for the sing-a-longs! The party guests started to arrive as The Swedish Meatball was playing background music including some more interactive songs that got people involved. After everyone was able to have some food and beer, The Swedish Meatball then started organizing the party games for us! They were great and everyone got involved in the competitions while the German music kept playing. Even a few people that did not know about the event, who randomly showed up at the brewery, stayed all night and had a great time!"
