After 5 long years of dreaming about throwing a butterfly party symbolizing her weight loss to the shedding of a butterfly's cocoon, GigMasters' client, Danielle Thomson, booked The New York City Gospel Choir to perform the song of the night "Butterfly" by Mariah Carey. 

In an online New York Times article, Thomson explains that the inspiration for the party emerged after she and her ex ended a three year long relationship. Throughout their relationship Thomson was oblivious to the significant amount of weight she had put on and failed to notice how she was truly feeling… stuck. In order to motivate herself, Thomson constructed an extravagant party theme where she would invite all of her friends and exes to see the reveal of her new found self (40 pounds thinner). But as we all know, it's easier said than done. Thomson struggled to lose the weight she gained over the course of the relationship, along with many other battles. She fought major weight fluctuation for 5 years and rescheduled her dream party 10 times.

However, this year, in 2019, Thomson finally felt ready to plan the party she’d been waiting for, but she had no idea how to make her fantasies a reality. She knew that after she shed the cloak resembling the cocoon of a butterfly to reveal the shocking and amazing results - she would have to keep the surprises and hype going. Nonetheless, after a lot of research  and help from friends, she finally found everything she thought she had been looking for, from a Mariah Carey impersonator and the release of live butterflies to butterfly themed cocktails - her party was almost complete! 

With most of her visions in place, Thomson still needed a spectacular ending to the night of her life. That’s when one of her co-workers referred her to GigMasters. After searching the site Thomson found what she described as the highlight of her night saying, “Words cannot describe how happy I was with my experience with the New York City Gospel Choir! Thank you thank you thank you!!” She ended with saying, “I was at a loss for how to make it something people had waited five years for - and the choir made it exactly that!”
