Real Event - This is My Fight Celebration

Posted by Brittany Anderson on 06/21/18

In February 2016, GigMasters began a partnership with The Confetti Foundation - a non profit out of RI, who supplies birthday party kits to children who spend their birthdays in the hospital. Through the party kits, children of all ages are celebrated and honored on their special day. GigMasters helps to add entertainment to the birthday celebrations - sending face painters, super heroes, princesses, and more to children enduring long-term hospital stays. This week's real event features The Confetti Foundation's This is My Fight Celebration 2018.  Keep reading for the full spotlight!

Sierra, the Director of Development with The Confetti Foundation shared:

"The Confetti Foundation, The Tomorrow Fund, The Izzy Foundation, and The Vs Cancer Foundation, in partnership with their local Children’s Hospital, hosted the second annual This is my FIGHT Celebration on Sunday, April 29th 2018, at the Providence Marriott in Providence Rhode Island. This was a FREE event for families whose child (ANY age) was being treated for cancer at their local Children’s Hospital."

"Families were treated to a fun night out, masquerade themed party. Fancy attire was worn, family portraits were taken, dinner was served and dancing was had! This event was designed to promote positive self-image, joyful interactions with their peers, while also giving families theopportunity to meet outside the hospital environment and really connect. This party was celebrating life and supporting the fight these kids have! GigMasters graciously had 2 Face Painters (from Chica's Party Entertainment) volunteer to the celebration and paint the children's faces!"

To say the night was a success would be an understatement. Thanks Sierra for sharing the story and to Carla Ten Eyck and Jeremie Barlow for the photos. We love to help with the Confetti Foundation and make these special celebrations event more special!
