What's better than spending your birthday with your twin sister! Kim was planning a special 60th birthday celebration for her, and her twin sister Missy - a tradition they do every 10 years for milestone birthdays. She knew she wanted music from their favorite era, the 70's, and booked Janet Lynn & Friends through GigMasters! Keep reading for Kim's real event story. 

"I turned 60 about a week ago along with my twin sister, Missy who lives in Atlanta. About once every 10 years… for big birthdays, I plan a party not only to celebrate the birthday but to celebrate our friendships and to bring friends together. This year I imagined a nice group of about 60 friends gathering with a band that could play my favorite era of music …. Of course the 70’s, outside at our neighborhood clubhouse surrounding the pool. I didn’t know how to hire a band, never had done that before, nor did I know anybody that knew any musicians for a band. I knew what I wanted, just didn’t know how to find it.  

I turned to GigMasters query and soon had a choice of about 10 – 15 bands to choose from. Some I got quite a bit of information from, some very little. Some were too expensive for my budget, too large for our venue and some could be a perfect fit. GigMasters hooked me up with great choices for our party and I made the perfect choice – Janet Lynn and Friends!

Janet Lynn and Friends were 4 musicians that were all talented on their own. Together they were a wow for us.   You can tell they love what they do and they do it well.  They entertained us for 3.5 hours and played our favorites – 60’s and 70’s and classic country. We enjoyed talking to them, dancing to their music and singing along!"
