Exploring Your Control Panel Pt. 6 - Account

Next up on the 'Exploring Your Control Panel' express, the 'Account' tab. This section of the Control Panel might be a little less flashy than some of the others, but that doesn't make it any less important. This is the spot to control many of the most basic and essential aspects of your GigMasters membership. So let's dive right in, shall we?

There are five sub-pages of the 'Account' tab. A few of which every GigMasters member has probably visited at least once, while others might be a bit more obscure. Here they are:

Contact Information - Pretty straight forward. Name, email, phone number and all the essentials needed by GigMasters and our clients to get in touch with you. If you have a website or blog of your own, we'd love to check them out! Same goes for Twitter, Facebook and even Myspace. We're very active on social media and we love to use these spaces to connect with and promote our members. Come say hi to GigMasters on Facebook and Twitter.

Billing Information - Another simple one. Need to switch the card on file you use to renew your membership? This is the place for you. Similarly, it's also the spot to update your Banking Information (where we send the client payments you redeem via GigMasters). Not yet opted in to receive client payments through GigMasters? This is also the place to sign up (read why we recommend that you enable deposits and balance payments).

And while you're at it, we also recommend that you set your membership to always pay the booking fee on behalf of your clients (just look for the 'gift' icon on your Billing Information page).

Transactions - This is a complete history of all of your transactions with GigMasters. This is a great resource for record keeping with no bells or whistles to get in the way.

Feature Opt-Outs - We've told you about this page before (check out this handy video post to refresh your memory). Here are the four features of this page:

Search Results Analyzer - We've told you about this feature before as well (right here). If for some reason you don't want to know where you stand in search results, you can opt out at any time.

Gig Final Outcome Emails - Don't want to know who got the gig? That's cool.

Display Past Quotes on Profile - Clients like to see what you've bid for other recent gigs. But we wont make you display your recent quotes if you don't want to. We're nice like that.

Performer In Demand - This is intended to create a sense of urgency for a client when you've been sent more than one event request for the same date. But, if you wish, you can turn this off as well.

Password - Does this really need explanation? This is where you turn to change your GigMasters Control Panel password. If you have any trouble changing your password, you can contact our Customer Experience team at any time.
