Tell us about Xim Catering:
We owned a restaurant named La Eme in Aguascalientes, Mexico (a small city exactly in the center of the Mexican republic) up until we moved to Denver in 2011. I always loved hospitality and making people feel happy with our service and food so I continued to work in the restaurant industry in BOH and FOH for several years. Finally, I decided that it was time to step up and start a new adventure with our own vision and version of authentic Mexican cuisine. “Xim” means “corn” in the Mayan language and corn is the principal ingredient in Mexican cuisine so we decided to name our company Xim Catering. We started in late 2015 and launched the grand opening in February of 2016. Our first event, less than a month later, was a birthday party, followed by a retirement party for a special lady of the City of Westminster. From then on, it just took off and we’ve been busy ever since catering weddings, corporate events, celebration of life events, and many other special occasions.
Our goal is to have a great product with high quality and to make a memorable experience for our guests.
Tell us about your favorite event you’ve catered for this year:
This is a tough one because all the parties that we cater are really fun! Our guests always have a great time and are kind to all of my staff so that makes it very difficult to have a favorite event!
What made you decide to join The Bash?
I was told by a friend in the industry to check out The Bash. They said it was a great platform (trusted by both vendors and clients) to get exposure and get booked for more events.
What advice do you have for new members?
Respond to quotes quickly and follow up on your quotes! The Bash really works, just be patient and remember that Rome was not built in one day!
What has been your experience with The Bash so far?
