GigMasters Video Updates

We are excited to announce that The Bash has significantly increased the audio/video storage limits for Basic, Pro, and Gold members and has made improvements to the quality of videos played on The Bash. Keep reading to learn more about these two new updates and what they mean for you!

Increase in Audio/Video Storage Limits

There's no better way than video to show off your talent to potential clients! That's why we have increased media storage limits across the board for all members. There is still a maximum of 20 audio/video files that can be uploaded, but you now have significantly more space for higher resolution videos.

Here is how the storage limits have changed:

  • Gold: 500 MB > 5 GB
  • Pro: 200 MB > 1 GB
  • Basic: 100 MB > 250 MB

Take advantage of this increased storage and start uploading high-quality videos to your profile today. Remember, members of The Bash with video get 3X more gigs!

Improvement in Video Quality

To improve the quality of videos on The Bash, we are now automatically re-encoding videos upon upload to play at a higher resolution if they are lower than 1280 x 720. Nothing has changed in terms of the video uploading process in your Member Control Panel. We recommend re-uploading any of your current videos that are in a lower resolution than 1280 x 720 so they can be re-encoded. (Note: The resolution of your videos is now listed on your Audio/Video page in the 'Size & Resolution' row.)

Some helpful tips when uploading video to your profile

  • To add audio or video to your Profile, go to the 'Profile' tab of your Member Control Panel and click the 'Edit' link for 'MP3 Samples and/or Video Samples.'
  • We recommend each individual file be under 250 MB to properly upload to your profile. Uploading may take several minutes depending on the size of the video and it could take up to 30 minutes for your new media to display on your profile.
  • Make sure your video file is saved in WMV, MOV, AVI, MPG, MP4, or FLV and audio files saved in MP3 or AAC.
  • If you have videos on YouTube or Vimeo that you would like added to your profile, just send the URLs over to Our Account Services team can properly convert them for you and get them uploaded to your profile.
