A live band is the perfect addition to just about any celebration. The Bash has thousands of live bands for party throwers to choose from, but today we're putting the spotlight on the top booked bands of 2018. We reached out to these top bookers to learn a little bit more about them and see what helpful tips they have for other live bands and new members.

Mike Maxwell is a comedian based in the Chicago area, but he travels around the country performing and working with the best in the industry, including SNL alums. Mike has completed extensive comedic training at The Second City’s Training Program and The Conservatory for Improv and Sketch Comedy. Today, audiences of all ages enjoy Mike's performances - you can catch him at some of the major comedy clubs in the Chicago area where he's a regular!

We caught up with Mike to hear more about his life as a comedian and learn what he attributes to his successful career.

Meet the top booked solo musician on The Bash in March: Acoustic guitarist, Aaron Copenhaguen.

Aaron is based out of Los Angeles, but will travel up to 500 miles for all types of celebrations and plays many different styles of music (Flamenco, Classical, Jazz, Classic Rock, and more!). For the past 6 years, Aaron has been a member of The Bash, during which he's secured over 180 bookings and received more than 100 reviews (all of which he responds to with a thank you!). A photo booth is the perfect way to give your guests a memory that can literally last forever! JukeBooth LLC has been proving just that with a whopping 21 bookings between January and February. The photo booth company is located in the New Jersey area and will travel up to 100 miles for any party. JukeBooth has an amazing assortment of props along with photo booth, photographer, and videographer packages to make every party unique and fun.

We caught up with the owner of JukeBooth, Jeffery Dixon, to find out more about his success.

This saxophone player’s lucky number is 200 because that's how many bookings he just hit on The Bash! The man behind the saxophone is Ruben Cantu. Ruben has been performing professionally since the age of 15 and today, he plays a wide variety of music (from Latin to Bollywood to EDM) that wows clients at any occasion. We reached out to Ruben to get his tips and tricks of the trade.

The Bash always recommends the use of entertainment contracts – both for performers and clients. While (fingers crossed) your event should go as planned, anything can happen and you want to be covered.

Nick Z is a talented and experienced DJ based in Astoria, NY, and a member of The Bash since September 2017. Nick started as a DJ at a very young age doing YMCA teen nights and school dances/proms. Today, he is a highly sought-after DJ in the NYC area, providing entertainment for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, L'Oréal headquarters, and most recently Kleinfeld Bridal. 

Mikaela Kahn is starting off the new year right with 7 bookings in the month of January alone! Mikaela is a singer from Austin, Texas. Her talent and contemporary style complements any event she performs at. Some professional highlights include singing with Grammy award winner Chrisette Michele and pop star Ben Folds. We caught up with Mikaela to get to know her a little better.
